About U-Pick

The U-Pick Flower Field is CLOSED for the SEASON.

Our U-Pick is open from July - October on select days and times. For events or current times we are open, please see our Facebook page or visit the Events page. The U-Pick is located on our family farm and is only open to the public during the scheduled dates and times.

Things to Keep in Mind Before You Visit Us

What to Bring

  • We will have flower snips available, but feel free to bring your own. 

  • Be sure to bring your own clean jar or bucket to transport your flowers home in. We provide a jar for you to cut into but ask that you bring your own container to transport home.

  • Be sure you wear/bring appropriate footwear.

  • Sunglasses, water bottles, hats and sunscreen can make your u-pick experience more enjoyable.

  • You may consider wearing gloves, as a few plants might have scratchy leaves and sap.

  • We do not allow animals of any kind on our property. Please let us know in advance if you have a registered service dog.

Parking

  • Parking is right across the road from the flower field. Please park in an available spot in the barn lot.  

Photography

  • We welcome you to take photos of the flowers and your experience on the farm to share with your friends. Please tag us on social at #homegrownonhaubnerhill.

  • We do not allow professional photography sessions during our u-pick. (contact us to schedule a time outside of u-pick).

Pricing

  • We don’t want to take away from your experience on the farm by counting the stems you have but we do ask that you respect the value and don’t overstuff your cup or bucket. Please make sure all your flower stems are in the water. If you have questions we are more than happy to help you while you are here.

  • $20 (plus tax) for a large pick - Approximately 30 stems per cup.

  • $15 (plus tax) for a small pick - Approximately 25 stems per cup.

  • *** Dahlias and Sunflowers are sold per stem ($2.00 each, plus tax)

  • We accept cash and Venmo for our u-pick sales.

Cut at Your Own Risk

  • The flowers grow in an open field, there may be ruts, uneven ground or holes so please watch your step.

  • ​By coming to our farm, you acknowledge the inherent risks that come with being outside in a wooded and farm environment, and agree to accept those risks.

Select the size pick (large or small) you would like, fill your jar with water.

Begin cutting and feel free to ask questions!

When finished, pay for your pick and transfer your flowers into your own container.

Reminders

  • When entering Haubner Road, please drive slowly.

  • Respect my neighbors space.

  • We do not use pesticides and welcome pollinator and beneficial bugs to the flower field. Please enjoy watching and do no harm.

  • We recommend cutting LONG stems. This encourages the plant to grow more and will provide greater flexibility when you are arranging your bouquet.

  • We will typically close if it is raining. If rain is in the area, call before coming to ensure we are open.

  • Adults MUST supervise their children at all times.

  • Guests may NOT go into the additional gardens, woods, or into the barns/buildings. This is for your safety.
